Hover is both a single and multiplayer experience. This way they could warn the Galactic Union and put an end to the oppression. Equipped with high-tech gears allowing amazing jumps and speed, they roam the city to sabotage the propaganda, help citizens, and find a way to reach the Orbital Station. You’re in charge of a team of young rebels, the Gamers, fighting against the new anti-leisure laws oppressing the city.
Having fun has become illegal and entertainment is banished. The Great Admin cut the communication with the Galactic Union and established a strong dictatship. The game takes place in ECP17, a high-tech city also called Hover City by its inhabitants and located on a distant planet. Though there aren't any missions for cooperative (that I have found), I can tell it will to be an awesome experience from just cruising around the city with other gamers. Getting a good flow going across the urban architecture never seems to get old.
It's very fun, and even in this early stage you can already create your own races for other gamers to play.
That said, if any of you liked Jet Grind/Set Radio, this is the beginning of a true successor. I gravitate towards 3rd person because the orientation of the player can invert instantly and I like to keep my bearings (and do backflips+trick+grind on rails). The movement is very quick and results in opposing directions quite often. The framerate is still a bit buggy, but it was pretty decent a couple updates ago, so I have no worries about them getting back to it. Played this in my free time over the last week.
